Working between our bases at Martin Hill Street, Dudley and West Midlands House, Willenhall we currently have a number of opportunities available to work with us:

Finance and Admin Assistant

We are currently looking for a keen and enthusiastic Finance and Admin Assistant to join our busy office in Dudley, helping us to meet our aims and objectives of supporting survivors of brain injury and stroke and also their families and carers.

We are looking for someone who can:

  • Assist with ensuring the smooth, efficient running of all aspects of Headway Black Country’s administration and front of house functions
  • Assist the Finance and Admin Manager in maintaining effective financial and management accounting systems across the organisation
  • Ensure accurate information is recorded and provided to management and other members of staff (as appropriate)
  • Assist in the administration of event delivery in support of the organisation’s management and operations

The closing date for this opportunity is: Wednesday 1st December 2021 at 10am and Interviews will be held on the 7th and 8th of December 2021 at Martin Hill Street, Dudley.

We are routinely recruiting for Bank Support Workers who can form part of our wider support team.  Shifts are offered on an ad-hoc basis and the offer of regular hours is not guaranteed.

£8.91 per hour

Cleaning Operative (Dudley)

We are looking for an individual or organisation who would be able to carry out a once a week deep clean of our office and delivery premises at Martin Hill Street, Dudley.  Requirements would be for a 2.5 hour clean per week which would be carried out as part of a rolling schedule of works during the course of each month.

2.5 hours at National Living Wage current rates.

Volunteer Opportunities  

Six month commitment – Three hours per week minimum

Across the Black Country –  Centres at Dudley and Willenhall

We have various volunteering opportunities for individuals with an interest in supporting the work of our charity. Most of these involve working directly in support those affected by brain injury or stroke or in promoting what we do through Communications and Fundraising.

Volunteers come from all walks of life and bring with them a wide range of experiences and skills. We look for real commitment to and interest in what we do. The ability to be caring, non-judgmental and patient is also important.

In return for volunteering, we provide regular supervision, training and travel expenses to volunteers. As this is work with vulnerable adults, we will arrange for an enhanced DBS check to be undertaken alongside references from people who know you.
