Community Outreach Worker

20 hours per week

£11,960 pa (full time equivalent 37 hours £ 21,126pa)

This role delivers our strategy for outreach services for people with brain injury, their families and carers across the Black Country area of the West Midlands. Key responsibilities are to support brain injury survivors and their families/carers in the community enabling them to deal with the challenges they face and to access appropriate support services. The role is also involved in raising awareness of acquired brain injury and in running programmes of activity for families/carers.

The successful candidate will have significant experience of providing emotional and practical support to people in community and hospital settings. They will have a good working knowledge of the effects of disability and insight into the needs of both clients with disabilities and of their families/unpaid carers.
