Community Support Worker

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Community Support Worker to support a 58 year old man with an acquired brain injury.

The client is fairly independent and so the primary focus will be on strategies to aid memory, establishing routines for domestic and personal care management, making and attending appointments, supporting his general health and well-being and engagement in social activities.

The successful candidate will need to be able to work to an agreed timetable which will equate to up to 20 hours support each week.
This is an opportunity for an experienced support worker, who is skilled at providing quality rehabilitative support and wants to be part of a well-established care team.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:
• The ability to motivate and enable
• A flexible and positive attitude
• A caring disposition and an excellent sense of humour
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Ability to work as part of a team
• A full driving licence and access to a vehicle
• Excellent computer, verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills

This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of the specialist team supporting adults affected by brain injury at Headway Black Country.
