The more severe the brain injury, the more pronounced the long-term effects are likely to be. Survivors of more severe brain injury are likely to have complex long-term problems affecting their personality, their relationships and their ability to lead an independent life. Even with good rehabilitation, support and help in the community, survivors and their families are likely to face uncertain and challenging futures. As more people now survive and live with brain injury and stroke, the need for our work is growing.
There are lots of ways in which you can support us in working with those whose lives have often been turned upside down by acquired brain injury, including:
- By volunteering
- By fundraising
- By giving
Although we raise funding through a variety of activities and services we would not be able to sustain or develop what we do without the vital support of our volunteers, supporters, fundraisers and donors.
Headway Black Country is independent charity affiliated to Headway UK. As such, all funds and donations are used to support our activities and services with the Black Country
This section provides more detail in how you could support our work.
